The Blauberg GL-B310C-EC-07 is a 230 VAC EC backward-curved centrifugal plug fan with a support frame and six-blade aluminum-alloy impeller. It operates at 1900 RPM and supports 0-10 VDC or PWM speed control with tachometer feedback.

Speed setting

  • Full speed: short the red +10 VDC wire to the yellow VSP wire.
  • 0-10 VDC: the fan starts above 1.0 VDC and stops below 0.5 VDC.
  • PWM: 10 VDC +/-5% amplitude and 1-10 kHz. The fan starts above 10% duty and stops below 5%.
  • Potentiometer: use a recommended 10 kOhm potentiometer between red +10 VDC, yellow VSP and blue GND.

Tachometer feedback: 5 pulses per revolution. Fan speed n = 60f/a, where f is output frequency and a is pulses per revolution. The customer supplies Vfg and the pull-up resistor; Vfg = 3.3-30 VDC and R must be at least 1000 x Vfg ohms.

Notes
  1. Connect the power and control lines strictly according to the wiring diagram to prevent fan damage.
  2. Do not connect the white signal wire directly to the red signal wire or an external DC power supply.
  3. If the fan does not run after starting, check the speed-control input voltage and wiring. Do not touch the impeller or rotor after power is applied.
  4. The fan takes several seconds to start. Do not touch the impeller or rotor while energized or operating at low speed.
  5. Before switching on, confirm that the motor is installed securely.
  6. Do not pull the power cable. A damaged cable must be replaced by the manufacturer.
  7. Do not drop or strike the motor.
  8. Do not flush the motor; reduced insulation performance can cause electrical leakage.
  9. For applications outside the agreed operating conditions, consult Blauberg and obtain confirmation before use.
  10. The motor housing may remain hot shortly after the fan stops. Prevent direct contact and burns.
  11. During installation, keep the housing free of debris and clean the interior if necessary.
  12. Before installation and operation, rotate the rotor by hand and confirm there is no collision, interference or jamming.
  13. The motor is part of the fan and must not operate without an impeller or load.
  14. After unpacking, repackage the product for storage. Store it in a clean, ventilated warehouse at -40 deg C to +80 deg C, below 95% RH, without corrosive gases, and at least 15 cm above the floor.
  15. Install the fan out of reach of children and do not allow children to use it.
  16. The final interpretation of this specification belongs to Blauberg.

Life, maintenance and warranty

  1. Design life is 50,000 hours, limited by the ball-bearing life at 40 deg C. Actual service life depends on temperature, humidity, installation, fan load and other operating conditions.
  2. Clean and maintain the fan every 3-6 months according to the operating environment.
  3. The complete fan has a two-year warranty from the purchase date, subject to the delivery date. Product-quality failures are eligible for repair or replacement; damage caused by improper disassembly, handling, human action, natural disaster or force majeure is not covered.
